Idents

BBC 2 idents

The colours and shapes here are very psychedelic which I feel gives a unique identity to these idents. It's pretty distinct from other channels which is good as its easy to tell what channel it is from this alone if you've seen them before.

ITV ident

This ident uses objects to spell out ITV. I think this one works well as it uses TVs,so they can show anything on them while spelling out ITV and that can make interesting visuals. The camera is constantly moving and the colours on the TVs stand out from everything else,which can work to grab attention.

Cbeebies ident 

This fits very well for the channel its on. Its bright and colourful,and the animation is lively and cartoony to attract a kid's attention. Along with that it is very simple looking which instantly says what kind of channel this is. 

Channel 4 ident

I think this ident works well as the metal man in it and the other idents creates a unique brand for the channel. This one is good as it uses interesting scenery and camerawork. It also mixes real sets with CGI animation which is different from other channels.

Nickelodeon ident

The use of 2D animation makes it pretty clear that this is a cartoon channel. It's animation is lively and is creative in how the logo gets shown so I think it works well to catch the attention of a kid. The animation with the paper background has a pretty distinct look so I think it'd be recognisable.

E4 2013-2018 Ident

This ident uses a mascot that uses the channel's logo in it's design. It's CGI in a real setting and they usually have something weird going on. I think that with the out of place mascot makes these idents pretty memorable for being strange. The colouring doesn't stand out but I don't think it needs to with everything else going on.

E4 Construction ident

I really like this ident for the vivid colours and animation. It's a really unique way to show the channel logo and is just impressive to look at to me. The constant movement of shapes and colour and how this happens looks interesting and is eye catching. I don't think it gives an idea of the channel but it works by being memorable.

MTV ident

This ident is very short but I think it does a lot in that time. Its pretty interesting to look at for it's constant movement and how the effect of the M looks. The mix of orange and blue is great for standing out at the middle but also from each other so its very easy to tell the channel.

MTV 2011 ident

I don't think this ident really says what kind of channel this is too well but the amount of effects going on makes it visually great,so I think it makes something easy to recognise and remember. The colours are bright and fit the fast speed. 

BBC One circles

This one uses CGI hippos in a real environment as they swim around to form a circle. This was a theme in other idents on the channel and helped to create a unique identity for the channel of having a circle form.
